Dissapeared?

March 20, 2009

I’m having some problems managing my internet presence, so I’ll be dissapeared some time until I get a way to do all my projects at the same time (give me from one week to two months).  I’ll be offline working in some incomplete drawings and new projects, and also redesigning my site and working on my shop. Also, my usual work is getting the best of my creativity, so all art related is going reaaaally slow.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…

January 13, 2009

snow

This is the third time we’ve had snow in the last two months. Usually it snows once in all the winter, and then we get sun and freezing temperatures, but this time we’re getting a really bad winter! Worst of  all is that the road to get to my workplace gets impossible to drive on it. Just the past friday my car slipped in a freezed patch and I crashed with a signal ^^;
I’m hoping that it won’t snow any more this year!

Pullip costumes

January 10, 2009

I like to sew. When I was little, my aunt used to gave me scraps of fabric to do costumes for my dolls, and other aunt taught me to sew and do embroidery, and recently I used a sabbatical year after school to go to sewing and patterning classes. In the years after that, I only sew costumes for “carnaval” (similar to halloween, we dress in costumes and go to parties XD), or to repair my clothes, but last year I begun to make costumes for my Taeyang doll, and for my future Pullip. I made a yukata for each, and this is the result:

The doll is my friend’s, and as I don’t have enough money to buy one yet you’ll se her modelling for the next dress I’ll do XD I have a beheaded Pullip body for the measurements, but using it the photos would be a little… macabre XD

I’m not going to post the Taeyang yukata, as it has a lot of mistakes (it’s a little big at the shoulders, and short, and I didn’t sew it very well XD), but as I’m trying to sew him a XIX century outfit, you’ll see photos this year

Here comes the artist’s block!

August 10, 2008

It seems that after every really good week, I have artist’s block. Today I had to erase all the shadows of my last digital painting, because I was incapable to do them correctly. I try to keep drawing and painting, although it’s frustrating that almost all the things I make aren’t any good. And in top of all that, next weekend me and my family are going to start a move… I have most of my books boxed and in my flat (yes, I have a flat, but I’m living with my mother and brother because here in León, new flats come without the kitchen and I don’t have money yet to furnish it, arg!), but we still have to get all the furniture to the new flat. And I still don’t know how much time I will have to stay without internet at home… at least I can check my email and etsy shop at work.

Estoy loca

July 22, 2008

XD

Brain Dead in Ortigueira Festival

July 14, 2008

Ouch! I hurt everywhere. I hate camping, I didn’t get more than 4-5 hours of sleep in intervals of 1 hour, I was dirty, and I was almost insane because our tent was between two stands of drinks that had each one a different type of music at top volume all night and day! The only things that saved the trip were the people and the concerts. We get to see really good groups, specially The National Youth Pipe Band from Scotland and Boys of the lough. I didn’t take my camera with me, so no photos until my friend Maki can give me the ones she took. And we got to talk with some of the members and the manager of The National Youth Pipe Band! (well, Xeniadono did the talking and I listened… I’m incapable of pronounce English)
